Increase your ability to work with non-native speakers of English so that you can provide the highest level of mediation service.

In this experiential training you will learn what its like to not understand the dominant culture’s language, how to break through boundaries to better understanding, how to work with interpreters and how to transfer all of this knowledge to the practice of mediation.

Presenter: Meiko Blosser is a professional mediator, trainer and educator with a specialization in intercultural communication. She grew up in Japan, Europe and the Middle East and is fluent in English, Japanese and German. She has worked in numerous intercultural contexts, including three years managing a translation agency. Meiko holds certifications in Middle East Studies, English Language for Adults, and Intermediate Level German. Her private clients include BMW, the Immunex Corporation, Microsoft, the Boeing Corporation and Children’s Hospital.
